Summary/Abstract: The most common definition of multimedia refers to combining and integrating different kinds media (text, sound, still or animated images) and navigating through the different data with the help of logical functions. While the common understanding holds the integrative and interactive function of multimedia, this paper focuses to demonstrate multimedia is not just about the integration of complex software, but involves distinct relations with information, time, space, and with the overall organization of labor. The intention of this paper is to show that managing a multimedia project requires a specific method, and also a critical perspective of the socio-economic stakes of the digital tools.
