FREEDOM OF CHOICE VERSUS FORMING THE WILL IN UPBRINGING

Summary/Abstract: A free choice is understood here as possibility of realization of liuman freedom and as the most certain and the most obvious expression of confirmation of human subjectivity. The problem of freedom in choosing is presented here in the context of will - an inner power of human being, essential for existence of free choice. The discussed here proposition of educating the will presents itself in improving its efficiency in choosing the good after it has been recognized. The upbringing of will means improving its efficiency in allegiance to the chosen good. First of all maturity to freedom of will is an aim of upbringing. However it should be between educating the will and upbringing the will. Thus the presence of free choosing is crucial for the educational process. The combined process of educating and upbringing can create real strength, which allows human being the freedom of choice and consolidates the freedom as an essential cultural value.
