Summary/Abstract: Elena Ştefoi writes an article about the Romanian cultural diplomacy before and after 1989. The journalist suggests that the Romanians are still a victim of a paradox: the same person can be respected in the same time as good and bad; the same action can be treasured as valuable and worthless according to out own interest. This is not a satisfactory choice for a real cultural diplomacy.
