Summary/Abstract: Frąckowiak analyses a play by Krzysztof Warlikowski, using the concepts of Lacanian psychoanalysis on the issue of hysteria. In the actions of the play’s protagonist he sees an enactment of the strategy of a hysteric, which involves revealing the falsehoods of one’s interlocutors (in their possession, for instance, of a coherent identity). The author proves his thesis with an analysis of the scene in which Hamlet enters his mother’s bedroom naked.
