Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to develop a new interpretation of Jan Hus, based primarily on the philosophy of Alain Badiou. The first part describes three possible ways of approaching Hus and historical phenomena in general. The following part acquaints readers with Badiou’s conception of St. Paul and early Christianity in its relation to the theory of situation, event, and subject. On this basis, Hus is then viewed as a thinker of the process of re-formation, which is an aspect missing from Badiou’s work.
