Summary/Abstract: What is the Empty Space? This is the question that has followed me while reading Peter Brook's book. It is, undoubtedly, a space of searches. But why empty? Perhaps because neutrality is an essential premises to any human enterprise. I say human and not artistic because before theatre there was life, and the equivalence between the two terms' sources represents a main feature of Brook's work.
