Summary/Abstract: Dialogue, its importance and presence, is underlined not only on the ground of many scientific disciplines, but it is also treated as the key to solve many human and social problems. Dialogic communication requires involvement, acceptance and openness to another human being. Increasingly, the experience of dialogue in the world „and temporary liquidity incident actually ceases to be probable, and is only reasonably anticipated” (Dąbrowy, Jankowska 2010: 9), however it is an important special incident. Penitentiary environment is also a space in which an attempt to break with totality and hermeticity of institution may be a self-reflection in an internal dialogue happening in moments of peace and silence. Irreducible and invaluable is also the value of meeting with another human, because in the process of rational communication not only social consensus is created but also a unit subjectivity is constructed (Milerski 2008: 37).
