Summary/Abstract: In this article are discussed following questions: the problem of historical perception and historical memory of Turkey and Iran towards the South Caucasus; the new possibilities for activities of Iran and Turkey in the region after the collapse of the Soviet Union; interactions of Turkey and Iran with South Caucasian countries but also new realities in relations of Russia-Turkey, Turkey-Iran, Iran-Russia after the 2008 August war in Georgia. It is stressed that after this war their politics is changed to some extent but these changes were not conditioned directly by this event.
