Summary/Abstract: This study aims to investigate two interactive music works of the author, Drones II and If, from structural and compositional point of view. The elementary morphological units were the result of the combination of different rhythmic structures, modes of attack and dynamic expressions. These micro-structural units were developed in order to build the musical form, driven by a compositional strategy. The computer accompaniment, generated by the author’s software, has integrated sophisticated transformational processes applied to the input sound captured by microphone, and it has embedded the spontaneous performance onstage of the soloist.
