Summary/Abstract: The article presents the historical development of the formation with the suffix {-ucha} in Polish. Uses a dictionary of historical and contemporary Polish, so it can show changes in the lexical and word formation system. Arrangements obtained in this way serve interpreting {potucha} acting in one of local dialects of eastern Greater Poland in meaning until now unrecorded in dialectal dictionaries: ‘dirty woman; associated with witchcraft, the witch’.
