This type of surnames are anthroponyms which was motivating by fathers’ proper names, so originally they express cognitive family relations. That onyms were developed in transonymical process. In Poznan’s material the typical suffixes which formed surnames were: {-(ow)icz} / {-(ew)icz}; suffix containing segment with {-k-} and {-ski} with variances. In broaching time bracket some of patronymic surnames indicated that they had lost theirs originally meaning in aid of taking shape of onymic function.
