Summary/Abstract: An interview with Sidra DeKoven Ezrahi, by János Kőbányai Professor Sidra DeKoven Ezrahi is one of the founders of Holocaust literature as a scholarly approach. Her study, Representing Auschwitz, analyzes the particular characteristics of this genre. Unfortunately, Imre Kertész and his work are absent from the study, but as shown in the interview, Duty, he does appear – alongside Miklós Radnóti – in the latest seminar of Professor Ezrahi. In the interview, Professor DeKoven Ezrahi tells us about her life, the first steps toward the formulation of the academic study of Holocaust literature, its development and polarization.
