Summary/Abstract: The article provides an analysis of the apparent success achieved by Donald Tusk as an unquestionable leader of the party which won the recent parliamentary elecions. This success can probably, though not certainly, bring about a kind of further stabilization of the political stage in Poland that should be valued, however, with much reservation. Now, when paying proper attention to the exact results of the elections, one can see the complexity of the political system – wherein includes a number of specific particular interests, or lobbies – as well as some significant limitations of Donald Tusk’s political strategy against the background of the system. Thus the “stabilization” proves to be unreliable and of a high price with regard, above all, to the level of public discourse.
