Summary/Abstract: Virág Móricz's unpublished diary of several thousand pages has been recently found among her chattels. Two portions of it are published here, the records written between 24th October 1956 and January 1957. They are account of an eye-witness of the revolutionary events but not from the point of view of an active participant but of a mother and housewife. The diary was prepared for the press with an introduction by the daughter of the authoress, Virág Kolos.
