Summary/Abstract: An interview with András Bíró who was born in Bulgaria, took part in antifascist resistance movement in Budapest during the war, left Hungary after the 1956 revolution, lived in Paris, Mexico, Rome and Nairobi, worked for UN organizations such as FAO, after 1989 returned in Hungary and founded several helping organizations for Romas such as the Autonomy Fundation, the National and Ethnical Minorities' Rights Office and Radio C. In 1996 he was awarded with the alternative Noble Prize.
