Summary/Abstract: Excerpt from the renowned Swiss psychiatrist’s seminal work “The Archetypes and The Collective Unconscious” (Collected Works of C. G. Jung Vol. 9 Part 1), to be published in Hungarian in 2011 by Scolar Editions as part of the larger translation project of his collected works. „We must now turn to the question of how the existence of archetypes can be proved. Since archetypes are supposed to produce certain psychic forms, we must discuss how and where one can get hold of material demonstrating these forms. The main source, then, is dreams, which have the advantage of being involuntary, spontaneous products of the unconscious psyche and are therefore pure products of nature not falsified by any conscious purpose.” (C. G. Jung)
