SUBJECTIVISATION IN EXPRESSING POSSESSIVE RELATIONS

Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on the category possessivity understood in the broad sense. On the basis of interlinguistic comparison of possesive expressions in Slovak it deals with the issue of individualisation and subjectivisation and draws attention to the three lexical-semantic and pragmatic-communicative contradictions - generalisation and individualization of utterance with possessive member, subjectivity and objectivity of utterance and opposition of neutral and marked possessive construction.
