Psycho-Social Rehabilitation - First Master's Program in Bulgaria

Summary/Abstract: In 2007 the first Master Program in Psycho-Social Rehabilitation was accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency for the period of 6 years. The Program was developed By the Department of Medical and Social Science at South-West University 'Neophyte Rilsky' Вlagoevgrad, MATRA project in partnership with the Global Initiative in the Community, and with the support of specialists from the Netherlands and Finland. Its implementation will help to promote a new model for equal treatment of people with severe psychiatric disorders. It will be part of the National Action Plan for implementation of Mental Health Policy of Bulgaria for the period 2004-2012.
