Summary/Abstract: In the poem series of János Sziveri two worlds - the world of the I and that of the we - are strikingly related: he creates a very strong and suggestive poetic self in his poems, for whom the writing of oneself, the ”techniques of being oneself” are more important than anything else, but not without writing ourselves: by the 20th century, however, this duality seems to be more and more anachronistic, the possibility of entwining these two roles are more and more doubtful; writing for others is gradually forced to turn into the destruction of the I and the self, supporting on behalf of the writer the paradigm of artistic impotence together with the reinterpretation of the heroism and pathos of the 19th century romantic paradigm.
