The golden jubilee of the life and activity of the Benedictine Sisters Missionaries in Huntington, Long Island, N.Y. USA (1962–2012)

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents an overview of the genesis and the development of the first foreign institution Missionary Benedictine Sisters on Long Island over 50 years. The problem contained in the title was based on source material found in The Archives Missionary Benedictine Sisters and The Archive of the Monastic House in Huntington. The thesis of s. Mirosława Małgorzata Kuligowska The Benedictine Sister Missionaries in Huntington between 1940–2000 was used in this study as well, and several research articles included in the study of Polish Community published by The Catholic University of Lublin, some articles posted in The Newsletter of the Congregation Benedictine Sister Missionaries.
