Summary/Abstract: On the basis of archival and other sources which have not been used so far the author examines the problem of the Bulgarians who attended Greek institutions of higher education in the period 1878–1912. He specifies that the total number of the Bulgarians who studied at University of Athens and in other institutions for professional education was about 107. Definitely, the majority of them preferred university studies (82%). The division of subjects included: medicine (55%), law (13%), obstetrics (10%), philology (4%), as well as pharmacy, theology, fine arts.
