Summary/Abstract: Administration of the property of others is a new legal institution adopted by the Romanian Civil Code following the regulation of the Quebec Civil Code, Canada. Its presentation is intended to be general, common law for all matters without specific regulation. The Civil Code regulates in detail the types of administration, full or limited, and administrator’s obligations in order to protect the legal beneficiary: duty of care, loyalty, conflicts of interest, prudent investment, etc. Clear rules on joint administration and delegation, termination of the administration, complete the regulation. Administration of the property of others enforces new and complete solutions in our law. Utility of the regulation, taken entirely from Quebec Civil Code, remains to be proved by the practice implementation of the legal institution.
