When the subject of the action/activity is a person (or several persons, or a social group of persons), who is involved in performing an action, or linguistic activity addressed to another person and gives the addressee instructions about what to do, the usage of the verb 'reikalauti' is accurate. However, if the subject is a thing, the result of human activity, the usage of the verb 'reikalauti' is wrong. To identify the type of the subject, a formal transformation of the sentence nucleus has been suggested.
