Foreign direct investments and Polish economy

Summary/Abstract: The article synthetically analyzes the flow process of foreign direct investments to Poland. In the process of construction of the market economy by Poland the process has reached a level that we cannot overestimate but we should appreciate. In the article the motives of taking up the activity by foreign investors are presented. Moreover, the main barriers of impact of foreign direct investments and the effects that they bring to the Polish economy are discussed. The statistical material of selected items that illustrate the role of foreign investments between the years 2000 and 2011 is the completion of the analysis.
