Effects of the CAP in Poland − experiences and challenges in the perspective to 2020

Summary/Abstract: Poland joining the EU was included in the regulations that substantially changed the conditions of the food economy. Mutual opening of markets has increased the possibility of disposing and contributed to improving the competitiveness of businesses. Activated public funds contributed to the modernization of farms and food businesses as well as improved their competitiveness, infrastructure development and multifunctional development of rural areas. The article discusses some effects of the CAP in Poland on the background of economic production and agri-food sector and the major challenges.
