Summary/Abstract: Verslumo, kaip bendrosios kompetencijos, ugdymui daugiau dėmesio Lietuvoje skiriama prasidėjus švietimo reformai. Verslumo ugdymas – viena iš svarbiausių prielaidų plėtoti šalies ūkį ir kelti verslo kultūrą bei gerinti visuomenės gyvenimo kokybę. Straipsnyje analizuojamas probleminis klausimas: kokie veiksniai lemia verslumo ugdymą profesiniame mokyme? Straipsnyje pateikiama verslumo samprata ir edukologiniai verslumo ugdymo ypatumai. Antrojoje straipsnio dalyje pristatomas profesinės mokyklos mokinių požiūris į verslumo ugdymą ir formuluojamos išvados apie verslumo ugdymą lemiančius veiksnius. Globalization challenges require that the Lithuanian system of education be more consistently orientated to current economy: to the new competencies and new technologies. Recent and rapidly developing labour market requires constant upgrade, flexibility and openness from the vocational training institutions. Young people coming to the labour market must not only have occupational skills, i.e. qualification, but also general abilities (competencies), which would help them to find or independently develop workplaces and would grant successful operation in the market. Development of entrepreneurship is one of the most important assumptions in the country’s economy growth and improvement of the level of business culture, which thus remarkably results in the improvement of the life quality within the society at large. The article investigates the following issue: which factors affect the development of entrepreneurship in vocational training. The first part of the article contains the definition of entrepreneurship and lists peculiarities of education in the development of entrepreneurship (political, educational, family, peers, environment of self-education), also factors, which are effected in different environment and stimulate the development of entrepreneurship within vocational training. The second part of the article presents exploratory quantitative research, which contains the analysis of attitude of students of vocational training programme to the development of entrepreneurship. To summarize the performed empirical research, it may be stated that the students of the first year have theoretical knowledge on entrepreneurship and development thereof. Entrepreneurship is basically treated as the index of establishing an economic value with less attention paid to entrepreneurship as a general skill. The third part of the article contains conclusions, as follows:
