The Preparation of the Believers for Receiving the Holy Eucharist – A Contemporary Missionary Coordinate of the Church

Summary/Abstract: The lines below will highlight key elements related to some aspects of awareness of receiving The Holy Communion. When speaking about the steps which must be made by those who want to commune with the Holy Sacraments bequeathed by Christ the Savior, the Son of God Incarnate, one word is oft en used which does not entail the reality or the condition of those who wish to enter into communion with God through Eucharist. Therefore, this study aims to show the profound diff erences between the terms preparation and research in order to receive the Holy Sacraments in general, and the Holy Communion in particular.The proof of the critical diff erences between the two words will include linguistic, scriptural and patristic arguments, in order to understand that, for believers, the Holy Communion is an ongoing event of broad spiritual commitment in the life of the Church.
