Water in the Perception and Religiosity of Contemporary Man

Summary/Abstract: Water remains one of the great wonders of the cosmos. The fi rst part of the paper will focus on the root causes of the current vision of man regarding water, more specifi cally the human dignity of aquatic archon. The second part will consider the direct consequences of this conception, the abuses provoqued to the aquatic universe and the religious implications of these constraints. The fi nal section will explore the various theological solutions proposed in order to solve the actual eco-aquatic crisis, thus highlighting that only a sacramental, Eucharistic vision of water holds real ability to prove the imperial – priestly human dignity, in eschatological perspective.
