Summary/Abstract: This study highlights the importance of the Christians’ communion through Jesus Christ our Savior in Church. Thus, in the community, through the Divine Liturgy and the Holy Sacraments, mainly the Holy Eucharist, the church becomes the Pillar and the Ground of the Truth, the heart of our earthly life and our direct connection to God. Through the Holy Sacrament of Eucharist we are called to a total and selfless dedication, following the model of Jesus’ Sacrifi ce and Suff ering for our salvation. If we follow His model, Who, out of love for us, gives Himself unconditionally to us not only we partake to a personal communion with Him but we also become active and working members within the ecclesial community. When the priest utt ers the words: „With the fear of God, with faith and love, draw near” he describes the qualities required to each Christian in order to receive the Body and the Blood of Christ. These must be taken into account not only when we receive the Holy Eucharist during the Divine Liturgy but they also have to be part of our everyday life within our community and has to open our hearts towards our fellows together workers and prayers for our salvation. Therefore, the liturgical – eucharistic life must be seen as the archetype of life in communion of all the Christians from all times and from all over the world.
