Summary/Abstract: Zoltán András Bán is one of the most characteristic and most outspoken critics in Hungarian intellectual life. The essay studies the omnibus volume of the critic’s oeuvre. It considers the notion of form by the young Georg Lukacs as the key-notion of Bán’s reviews; and starting from its criticism he arrives at the criticism of the normativity and the cultural-critical character of the texts.
