Summary/Abstract: Trust in interpersonal relations has been one of the most recently discussed topics for at least two reasons: greater frequency and diversity of human contacts, giving grounds on actions, being particularly in crisis conditions, not sufficiently secured by legal safeguards. This text is limited to economic relations ever hardly discussed, especially from the psychological point of view . Apart from the review of western and Polish studies rust has been defined in psychological terms and treated as a regulator of decisions in 3 business domains: consumption, enterprise interrelations and labour relationships The author attempts to demonstrate the difference ,being rarely observed between the trust manifested in relations to institutions and person ,the latter giving raise to efficiency and moral characteristics considered separately. He indicates also the necessity to differentiate clearly trust realized and demonstrated ,the latter being conditioned by cultural and individual properties ,likewise by the intensivity of needs.
