INTERVIEW WITH MS. TEIA GAVRILESCU, PRESIDENT OF VIITOR ASSOCIATION

Summary/Abstract: The interview presents the social economy activities carried out by the Atelierul de pânză and Recicleta projects, two initiatives implemented by ViitorPlus Association. Issues such as heavy traffic and pollution or the low level of waste management are what determined the creation of the two projects which focus on sustainable development, as well as on the professional integration of people with disabilities. Ms. Teia Gavrilescu believes that social economy activities in Romania are held back by the regulatory framework, while communication among stakeholders, as potential partners, is cumbersome because of the differing views about the concept of social economy.
