The Application of the Method of Meaning Constitution Analysis (MCA) to the Study of the Phenomena of Motivation to Artistic Creativity

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to characterize the Method of Meaning Constitution Analysis with reference to the problem of motivation to artistic creativity. The Method derives from phenomenological research and alludes to the thesis of Edmund Husserl (1974). In the following text, we review the main concepts of motivation to artistic creativity in order to show how the presented method can be used in this domain. The article also describes the results of our studies which aim at elucidating the structure of the motivational-affective system of artists with the emphasis on stimulators and inhibitors of creative activity.
