Jan Baliński about his life, work and passions

Summary/Abstract: Jan Baliński, whose long-time editorial work on „Zeszyty Teoretyczne Rachunkowości” (ZTR) provided an invaluable support to the publication of this journal, has well deserved recognition from his colleagues and co-workers for over 30-year service that he has performed. Almost from the first volume issued in 1977 to volume 63 (119) published in 2011, he was strongly committed to enhancing the editorial level and quality of our journal. Every meeting with Jan Baliński during the sessions of successive Editorial Committees of ZTR was an important and stimulating experience for their members, and each paper published in the journal has an input of his great commitment and responsibility for its final shape as regards both the content and linguistic form. The authors of all contributions published in ZTR would like to express their gratitude for his long-term editorial service. We would also like to thank Jan Baliński for presenting his professional and social activity, colourful and rich in experience and merit. We wish you long years in good health and high spirits!
