Summary/Abstract: The author made a contrastive analysis of selected instrumental works of a sonata for solo violin genre in works by J.S. Bach and G.Ph. Telemann. The very composers present a separate specificity of shaping a music form, language features and style. The works under analysis also have the characteristics of earlier sonata compositions by A. Corelli, F. Geminiani and others. Works by J.S. Bach and G.Ph. Telemann finish the already evolutionarised stage of the genre of the Baroque Sonata and provide it with further possibilities of development. In order to justify her conclusions, the author refers to the opinions of selected theoreticians.
