Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article entitled "Stylistic features of folk songs of Pszczyna region in the light of the ethnographic collections by Marian Cieśla" is the analysis of selected folk songs of Pszczyna region from the ethnographic collections by Marian Cieśla, a Silesian folklore researcher. The author of the article concentrates on the stylistic analysis of these songs taking into account their scale, structure of the melody line, metro-rhythmic factor and formal structure. In conclusion, the author emphasizes the role of native cultural traditions, the manifestations of which are folklore bands in Pszczyna region.
