The role of musical therapy in prevention and therapy of children displaying aggressive behaviours

Summary/Abstract: An increasing problem of child aggression justifies a multidimensional attitude to it, and searching the newest ways of reducing and preventing it. Music can play an important role in the very process. It turns out that it reaches sub-consciousness and stimulates changes of behavior. Thanks to the influence of musical therapy the level of child emotional-social maturity rises. Their self-control grows, the ability of expression develops, desired behaviours occur and allow for desired behaviours. The control of negative emotions facilitates both a general development and socialization of children.
