Professional development through the organizational culture in Engineering Faculty from Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu

Summary/Abstract: The paper starts from the analysis of the culture of the Engineering Faculty, within the context of a classical university. In the first stage, a research has been made to establish the mains dimensions of the organizational culture and of the values existing in the university. For that, a group of 124 teaching staff from within the university, as well as 75 professors from outside of the university was put under observation and analysis. After having established the typology of the organizational culture, a strategy can be planned in order to help the individuals follow their own professional course, in accordance with the characteristics of the group they belong to.This strategy must be included within the one referring to the implementation of the changes suggested by the Bologna process.
