Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present a few aspect concerning the „image ot the other” in the classical world. It is taken into disscusion in which way the texts of ancient literature can be relevant for the caracterisation of the dacian populations through the perspective of the identity / alterity relationship. In this case we take into account the geographical perspecive as identitary approach and in the future the moral and psihological aspects will be taken into account.
