Summary/Abstract: In this article the author analyses the tendencies of the development of the protest politics in Lithuania, 1992-2001. Author also names the potential consequences on the democratic process. Empirical data on the protest politics are gathered on the basis of an event-analysis method applied to the "Lietuvos rytas" and "Respublika" dailies' articles, published during the 1992-2001 period.
