Summary/Abstract: The goal of this article was to present the „feeling of warmth” phenomenon. It is a feeling accompanying cognitive activity which indicates that a person is making the right decision or is moving in the right direction during problem solving. This experience might be considered as a result of intuition as well as a special form of metacognition that enables access to implicit knowledge. The paper presents possible cognitive and affective mechanisms of “feeling of warmth” and problems connected to their interpretation and measurement.
