Summary/Abstract: Under the conditions of the new society and the ongoing changes of the economic, technical and spintual balance, art does not remain in the last position of human lives, as art is one of the ways to manifest human spiritual creation. Interest in art is a factor promoting human beings' activities. The article discusses what kind of spiritually related problems are encountered in training primary school teachers and what musical pursuits pre-servise teachers have. Spirituality is understood as sensitivity to music, wisdom, beauty, etc., 1. e., spirituality is sensitivity to positive and good charactersistics. Musical pursuits are evaluation of music as a phenomenon. They witness maturity in musical thinking, human musical culture and human relations with music. The research involved 500 students, pre-servise teachers of primary education, studying at Vilnius Pedagogical University, Klaipeda University and Siauliai University.The research performed indicates rather low musical culture of future primary school educators. To a great extent it depends on a primary school teacher and whether Lithuanian folk songs, Lithuanian music and classical music as well as the native language are to find a way to the heart of a developing personality of a pupil.
