Summary/Abstract: This article contains analysis of presence of the sireh of the Prophet Mohammad, pbuh, in the curricula of primary and secondary schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Generally speaking, the sireh is presented in the curricula of two school subjects: history and religious teaching. It's elaboration within the framework of history is very limited and does not maintain enough room for students to introduce with the Prophet's, pbuh, personality and his noble character. Hence, religious teaching that is being taught during all nine grades of primary school and four grades of secondary school represents the main school subject in which the sireh of the Prophet, pbuh, is studied. The analysis shows that all moments of more importance from the Prophet's life and his mission are presented in the Curriculum of religious teaching for primary school. The examination of text-books of religious teaching for primary school which are formulated on the basis of adopted Curriculum come us to conclude that moral virtues which adorned the noble personality of the Prophet, pbuh, are presented through elaboration of almost all themes from the sireh, aiming to stimulate students' love and favour towards him. Regarding the Curriculum of religious teaching for secondary school, we can say, it is, as a whole, intended to affirm the personality of the Prophet, pbuh, as exemplary character for humanity. This article also treats the impact of the sireh on identificating of aims and goals of the curricula of religious teaching, evaluation methods and teaching strategies. Respecting the fact that secular concept of education is present in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the influence of the sireh of the Prophet, pbuh, on the school curricula as a whole is still rather small. In order to improve this, additional efforts should be made. Till then, the islamic religious teaching takes over full responsability for proper presentation of the sireh of the Prophet, pbuh, in public school education.
