Summary/Abstract: In the present study, the author approaches a sensitive subject linked to the pre-modern and modern feminine imaginary, the women's position in a changing society, a society full of hopes and illusions in the process of modernization and europenization, a society that assimilated just a pseudo-refinement of Oriental - Fanar origin rooted in an local fond that immitates the modernity in a superficial and grotesque way.
