Summary/Abstract: Equality and gender equity are principles of human rights that mean a ballance of power between men and women regarding economic resources, rights and duties, political participation, social position. Gender equity requires recognition of specific needs of women regardless of their source: prejudices that come from historical structures, bilogical differences or social inequity.
