Climate policy of the european union as a cost-generating factor in electricity production

Summary/Abstract: Climate policy of the European Union creates new challenges for the Polish power industry. Meeting the carbon dioxide emission reduction targets will increase the costs of electricity production. Therefore, it is feared that it may adversely influence the competitiveness of Polish products on international markets. Many experts also predict that the current gross domestic product (GDP) will decrease by approximately 1.5%.
