Measures for internalizing external costs of greenhouse gas emissions

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the phenomenon of climate change from the perspective of the economic analysis of the problem of environmental protection and pollution. Climate change which is one of the most serious environmental problems has been treated as a specific type of externality which should be internalized through for instance carbon taxes or tradable permits. The use of economic instruments in the climate change policy will establish a price on greenhouse gas emissions.
