The role of evaluation in the distribution of eu funds

Summary/Abstract: This paper explains the essence and importance of the evaluation with respect to the management of EU funds. Recent research indicates that Polish evaluations, despite the difficulties that have arisen at the beginning, provide useful knowledge about the issue of interventions co-financed from EU funds. This knowledge is focused on the recent programming period and it is mainly used in correcting current activities, processes, mechanisms in order to improve the absorption of EU funds.
