Summary/Abstract: Russian society still remains multicultural, burdened with the experience of socialism. As indicated by the sources the CSR concept, known worldwide for many years, started to develop about ten years ago also in the Russian Federation (RF), the legal successor of the USSR, i.e. the state which for years was the main decision maker on economic and social issues. The objective of this paper is to answer the question how the notion of ”corporate social responsibility” is understood in the Russian society. The research methodology used in this article is based on deductive inference.
