Summary/Abstract: There is a constant search for effective pedagogical practice models in programmes of educology (pre-school education). In order to identify changes in pedagogical practice models, the preconditions for the change have been analysed, the peculiarities of the models have been highlighted and their efficiency has been evaluated. The analysis of the study programmes has revealed dramatic changes. Since introduction of pedagogical practice into pre-school education pedagogy study programme starting with the first year of studies in 1995, the model, duration, volume as well as organisation of it have been undergoing constant changes. The analysis has shown that the practice models are harmonized with the peculiarities of students' competencies development and possess certain features of consistency: from observation and cognition through experiment and exploration to independent creative work as well as reflection. The research corroborated that the model of continuous practice (starting from year I) is effective preparing students for pedagogical practical activity. A successive change in its content and type followed by students' self-reflection, mentors' assistance, students' independence and freedom of choice ensures appropriate level of students' practical work and competencies
